PIONEER IN QUALITY-OF-LIFE TECHNOLOGY

With 35 years in nonprofit leadership—25 as CEO of the Dan Marino Foundation—Mary Partin has transformed support for individuals with autism through innovative, technology-driven solutions. A recognized advocate for neurodiversity, Mary leverages extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to break down systemic barriers, enhance quality of life, and empower individuals and caregivers globally.

Under Mary’s leadership, the Dan Marino Foundation has become a pioneer in empowering individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, leveraging technology to create innovative solutions and opportunities. By integrating cutting-edge tools such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and assistive technologies, the Foundation develops programs that enhance education, vocational training, and social skills. These efforts are geared toward fostering independence and improving quality of life. Whether through career-focused platforms, interactive learning environments, or partnerships with technology leaders, the Foundation continues to push the boundaries of what is possible, making a lasting impact on the lives of those it serves.

Mary established the Marino Autism Research Institute at Vanderbilt University and launched Marino Campus in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, offering tailored post-secondary programs for students with autism. With grants from Google and Magic Leap, Mary spearheaded her first technology initiative in partnership with the University of Southern California’s Institute for Creative Technologies, creating VITA-DMF—a groundbreaking mixed-reality tool designed to transform job interview preparation for individuals with autism.

With funding from the Embassy of Qatar, Mary developed a S.T.E.A.M. Enrichment Program for high school students with autism, opening doors to opportunities often inaccessible to neurodiverse learners and inspiring their interest in technology.

Mary’s influence extends to national and international policy, having served on Florida’s Governor’s Autism Task Force, President Obama’s Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee, and as a speaker at forums such as Google Ed Foo, the United Nations, and Qatar’s Autism Technology Conference.

Driven by her vision to create transformative, universally accessible solutions, Mary continues to unite global expertise and resources, empowering individuals with autism to achieve their full potential.
